Church History

In early 2011, seven families envisioned establishing an Arabic-speaking church in Edmonton where they could worship, disciple believers, and support newcomers. Through their connection with Beulah Alliance Church, they were blessed with a welcoming facility and the necessary equipment to begin gathering. What started as seven families grew steadily into a vibrant ministry of approximately 70 attendees, offering diverse ministries including children’s, youth, prayer, refugee care, and weekend worship services. Hany Guirgis served as pastor from 2013 to 2016, followed by Nabil Roman, who served from 2020 to 2026. The Arabic ministry began the formal process of becoming an independent church under Alliance Canada, in partnership with Beulah Alliance Church and the Western Canadian District. In October 2022, the congregation relocated to meet at Southgate Alliance Church. In May 2023, the ministry was officially recognized as a Developing Church. In January 2024, the church was registered with the Government of Canada as a charitable organization. In December 2024, elders were elected, formally establishing the church as an organized, independent church affiliated with Alliance Canada.

في أوائل عام 2011، تبلورت رؤية لدى سبع عائلات لتأسيس كنيسة ناطقة باللغة العربية في مدينة إدمنتون، تكون مكانًا للعبادة وتلمذة المؤمنين وخدمة القادمين الجدد. وقد باركهم الرب بدعم كنيسة كندية احتضنت هذه الرؤية وساهمت في تيسير هذا العمل، وهي كنيسة بيولا، التي وفّرت لهم مكانًا للاجتماع إلى جانب المعدات اللازمة.

ومع الوقت، نمت هذه العائلات السبع لتصبح خدمة كنسية تضم نحو 70 شخصًا من الحضور، وتضم عدة خدم متنوعة تشمل خدمة الأطفال، والشباب، والصلاة، ورعاية اللاجئين، واجتماعات العبادة الأسبوعية. وقد خدم القس هاني جرجس راعيًا للكنيسة من عام 2013 حتى عام 2016، ثم تولّى القس نبيل رومان رعاية الكنيسة من عام 2020 إلى عام 2026.

وفي إطار السعي نحو النضوج الكنسي، بدأت خدمتنا العربية خطوات التحول إلى كنيسة مستقلة تتبع طائفة الإتحاد في كندا، وذلك من خلال التعاون والعمل المشترك مع كنيسة بيولا وطائفة الإتحاد في المنطقة الغربية بكندا

في أكتوبر 2022، انتقلنا للاجتماع في كنيسة ثاوثجيت أليانس وفي مايو 2023 أصبحت الخدمة كنيسة نامية، ثم في يناير 2024 تم تسجيل الكنيسة رسميًا لدى الحكومة الكندية كهيئة خيرية. وفي ديسمبر 2024، تم انتخاب شيوخ للكنيسة، لتصبح بذلك كنيسة نظامية مستقلة تتبع كنائس الإتحاد بكندا
