Church History

In early 2011, seven families envisioned an Arabic-speaking church in Edmonton where they could worship, disciple believers, and assist newcomers. They have been blessed with a beautiful setting to embrace them and facilitate the process thanks to their connection with Beulah Alliance Church. Beulah provided them with a place to meet as well as equipment. The seven families grew into a ministry with approximately 70 attendees with various ministries such as children, youth, prayer, refugee care, and weekend service. Hany Guirgis served as a pastor from 2013 to 2016. In March 2020, Nabil Roman became the lead pastor. Afterward, our Arabic ministry started the process of becoming an independent church under the Alliance Canada, working with Beulah and the Alliance's Western Canadian District. In October 2022 we moved to convene in Southgate Alliance Church. Our ministry became a Developing Church in May of 2023. In January 2024 we got a CRA charitable status. 

في أوائل عام 2011، كان هناك رؤية لدى سبع عائلات لإقامة كنيسة ناطقة باللغة العربية في إدمنتون حيث يمكنهم العبادة وتلمذة المؤمنين ومساعدة القادمين الجدد. لقد باركهم الرب بكنيسة كندية لاحتضانهم وتسهيل هذا العمل وهي كنيسة بيولا التي زودتهم بمكان للقاء بالإضافة إلى المعدات. نمت العائلات السبع لتصبح خدمة تضم حوالي 70 شخصًا من الحضور وبها خدمات مختلفة مثل الأطفال والشباب والصلاة ورعاية اللاجئين وخدمة نهاية الأسبوع. خدم هاني جرجس كراعي للكنيسة من عام 2013 إلى عام 2016. وفي مارس 2020، أصبح نبيل رومان راعيا للكنيسة. بعد ذلك، بدأت خدمتنا العربية عملية التحول إلى كنيسة مستقلة تحت طائفة الإتحاد بكندا وذلك من خلال العمل والتعاون مع بيولا وطائفة الإتحاد بالمنطقة الغربية بكندا . في أكتوبر 2022، انتقلنا للاجتماع في كنيسة Southgate Alliance  . في مايو 2023 أصبحت خدمتنا كنيسة نامية وفي يناير 2024 حصلنا ترخيص لنكون هيئة غير ربحية أمام الحكومة الكندية.

Church Pastor

Nabil Roman was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1958. He is a medical doctor; a Urologist. He worked in the ministry field since 1992. He has a passion for proclaiming messages from God's heart to His people. God used him in teaching, preaching, discipleship, and leading prayer meetings. In 2009 the Lord called him to be in the full-time ministry. He has been a faculty member at Haggai International since 2014. In March 2020 he became the lead Pastor of the Edmonton Arabic Alliance Church in Edmonton, Alberta. Canada.

Mona Habashy, the pastor's wife, is a retired Pediatrician. She Married Nabil Roman in 1984. They have two sons and two granddaughters. Mona gave her life to Jesus very early in her life. For many years she ministered in Children’s ministry. She came with Nabil to Canada in March 2020. Now she is ministering in Ladies' meetings and the worship team.
